Judith Ann 'Judy' Dow

Judith Ann Judy Dow of McCook passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at Community Hospital. She was 75 years old. Judy was born on December 28, 1940 at Dobbins, California to parents John Mike and Lenore (Goekler) Musholt. She was united in marriage to Darrell Eugene Dow on June 17, 1958 at Fort Bragg, California. In 1961 they moved to Holdrege where they farmed. They later lived in various locations including Ragan, Orleans, Hayes Center and later McCook. Judy was a homemaker and busy mother of six children. While Judys children were young she gave her time and talents as a Girl Scout Leader. She was an avid reader and spent many hours gardening and hunting with Darrell and her kids. She enjoyed the sport of bowling on leagues and with family. She was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church. Preceding her in death were her husband Darrell; her father, John Musholt; her step-father, Clifford Echols; one brother, Thomas James Echols; and one sister, Janie W. Deweese. Survivors include her mother, Lenore Musholt of Milwaukie, OR; children, Darla (Dee) and husband, Danny Wahlgren, of Forks, WA, Lorri and husband, Mike Bantam, of Alma, Melissa and husband, David Eilers, of Overton, Rose and husband, Richard Scott, of McCook, Lyle Dow of Beaver City, and Thomas Dow and wife, Tammy, of Hayes Center; four brothers, Jerald Musholt and wife, Carol, of Panama City, FL, Clifford Echols Jr. and wife, Betty, of Milwaukie, OR, Richard Echols and wife, Vicki, of Portland, OR and Gary Echols and wife, Karen, of Seattle, WA; 17 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016, 9:00 a.m. until time of rosary at 7:30 p.m., at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel, McCook, NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 6, 2016, 11:00 a.m. at St. Patricks Catholic Church with Father Gary Brethour as Celebrant.
