Jon Philip Ashley

Jon P. Ashley, age 71, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at his home in McCook, NE. Jon was born on August 25, 1948, in Alexander Bay, New York to Elwood and Frances (Brothers) Ashley. He graduated in 1966 from Canton High School, Canton, NY. Shortly after high school he moved to Nebraska. He was an avid sports fan and loved the Oklahoma Sooners. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Frances Ashley; and brother-in-law, Ray Sabre. He is survived by his sister, Margaret Ann Sabre of Brownville, NY; brother, Bill (Shirley) Ashley of Culbertson; his daughters, Holli and Sara; four grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family has chosen a private family burial at a later date. Memorials may be given in his name and left at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel, 607 Norris Avenue, McCook, NE.
