Joan Cobb

Joan Cobb, 84, of Trenton, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 18th, 2021 at Community Hospital in McCook. She was born April 24, 1937 in Olathe, Colorado to Dorman and Darlene (Silver) Cobb and later moved to Hitchcock County, Nebraska. She attended country grade school and graduated from Trenton High School in 1954. Joan attended McCook Junior College and graduated from Kearney State College. She taught elementary school for 42 years including several rural schools and for 33 years at Culbertson Grade School. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Royce; grandparents, James L. and Chloe B. (Persinger) Cobb and Clarence and Mary (Fleming) Silver; one niece and one nephew. Joan is survived by her nephew, Brent Cobb of McCook, and nieces, Nancy (Randy) Nelson of Lincoln and Katherine Cobb of Mesa, Arizona; six great nieces and great nephews; a step niece and nephew; and numerous great-grand nieces and great-grand nephews and step nieces and nephews. Cremation was chosen and a private family graveside service will take place at a later date in the Trenton Cemetery. Memorials can be given to the family of Joan Cobb for future designation.
