Jo Ann Louise Walter

Jo Ann L. Walter age 55 of McCook, NE died at the Great Plains Medical Center in North Platte, NE on December 13, 2013. She was born in Greeley, Colorado on July 22, 1958 to LeRoy and Shirley (Mason) Walter. Jo Ann graduated from Arvada West High School in Arvada, Colorado and attended college in Ft. Collins for drafting. Jo Ann worked in Denver area as a computer technician, building computers. In 1996 Jo Ann moved to Stratton, NE to be close to family. She loved cats, especially Persian, Maine Coon cats. Jo Ann showed her pets at cat shows in Nebraska. She also liked to knit and make pencil drawings. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her Father LeRoy Walter and grand parents: Verna Heuchele and Henry and Hilda (Meyer) Walter. She is survived by her mother: Shirley of Trenton; 2 brothers: Jeff and wife Cathy of Denver, CO; Jerry of Trenton, NE and significant other: Tim Richards of McCook, NE: nephew: Jeffery and wife Gina Walter of Westminster, CO Memorial services will be held on Friday December 21, 2013 1:00 pm at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook, NE with Mike Roth officiating. A private interment will be held by the family at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Stratton. Memorial may be left in Joanns name at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel.
