Jerry continued flying, using his plane for personal and for work checking his farm and cattle. Jerry was involved with the community, serving on the Cemetery Board, School Board and Rural Fire Department Board, Masonic Lodge, Tehama Shrine Club of McCook, NE, and the American Legion Post 337. He was also a member of the United Church of Christ which he was active in for many years. Jerry and Jan did take several trips as farming would allow. They traveled to Alaska, Arizona, and several southern states, as well as the east coast. In early years, the family spent many Sunday afternoons at the lake fishing and waterskiing. He was preceded in death by his parents, "Skinny" and Lucy Williams; in-laws, Jim and Vera Wray; sister-in-law, Jean (Wayne) Matson; brother-in-law, Max Wood.
