Jacquelin L. Lankford, age 77, of Lenexa Kansas, passed away at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas on Monday, June 14, 2021. Jackie was born in Oakland, California to Charlie and Cora Galyean, grew up in Ukiah, California and was later adopted by Cora's husband Howard King. Jackie married Dearld Bottemiller and raised daughters, Susan and Patty in Stockton and Valley Springs, California where Dearld passed away in 1984. Jackie was married to Floyd Lankford in 1986 and moved to McCook, Nebraska in 1992, where they lived until Floyd passed away in 2015. In 2017 Jackie moved to Greenwood Retirement Village in Lenexa, Kansas to live near her two daughters. Jackie enjoyed many crafts including crochet, toll painting, adult coloring, and photography. She loved bird watching, volunteering at the McCook Humane Society, and music, especially Christian Gospel and the Gaither Vocal Band. In McCook, she attended Grace Baptist Church and the Evangelical Free Church. She attended many Bible Studies and watched sermons on television. Jacqueline loved getting together regularly with her "lunch bunch" ladies. In Lenexa, she participated in activities, watched several sermons each week on television, as well as attended services at her retirement village led by resident Pastor Joe Burgess. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd E. Lankford; sister, Kathy and husband Don Stuart; sister-in-law, Wilma and husband Jerry Hudson; brother-in-law, Kenneth Bradley; and stepdaughter, Pamela Conway. She is survived by daughters, Susan Crothers of Overland Park, Kansas and Patty and Rich Wentz of Kansas City, Kansas; granddaughter, Michelle and Jonathan Paine of Worthing, England and their five children; nephew, Rocky and Lori Parker of Portland, Oregon; stepdaughters, Debbie Delsie of Anchorage, Alaska, Lorrie Delsie of Anchorage, Alaska, and Melanie Edwards of Stockton, California; sister-in-law, Betty Bradley of McCook; and brother-in-law, Jim Lankford of McCook. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 10:30 a.m., at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel of McCook.
