Jack D. Lorimer, age 78, of McCook, Neb., passed away at Highland Park on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Jack was born in McCook, Neb., July 23, 1943, to Elmer and Virginia (Troxell) Lorimer. He attended school in McCook. On October 18, 1978, he was united in marriage to Sandra Shaver in Atwood, Kan. The couple made their home in McCook, Neb. In 1983, the family moved to North Platte, Neb. Jack, Sandra and one daughter moved back to McCook in 1991. There, Jack worked at his own tree trimming service. Jack enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, and especially growing tomatoes. Jack liked to hunt, fish and watch westerns on TV. He, Sandra and their kids traveled to South Dakota and Mt. Rushmore. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Virginia; wife, Sandra in 2017; grandson, Scott Lee Dixon Jr.; son-in-law, Scott Lee Dixon Sr.; sister, Donna (LeRoy) Lindgren; brother, Willard Lorimer; daughter-in-law, Michelle Lorimer; niece, Janette Lindgren. Jack is survived by two daughters: Lisa (Jessie) Gomez of North Platte, Neb., Tory (Brian Dennis) Dixon of Franklin, Neb.; son, Kenneth Lorimer of Kearney; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sister, Carol (Junior) Ginther of Gem, Kan.; and special friend, Marilyn Mavigliano. Graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook, Neb. on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 2:00 PM with Jim Jones officiating. Friends may leave on-line condolences at herrmannfh.com. Memorials may be left in Jacks name to the McCook Humane Society. Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
