Ivan Daniel Hinton

Ivan Daniel "Ike" Hinton age 76 of Cambridge passed away at the McCook Community Hospital on Thursday April 12, 2018. He was born near Stockville, NE on February 28, 1942 to Daniel and Evalyn (Mortimore) Hinton. The family moved to Kansas where Ike attended and graduated from Derby High School in 1960.

Ike was united in marriage to Luella Sayer on October 24, 1962 in Cambridge. Ike worked as a heavy equipment operator doing construction work for Adams Construction in Kansas and Nebraska. He retired in 1985due to health and returned to Cambridge. Ike and his wife Luella traveled to many states east of the Missouri as Luella was dispatched to help in disaster operations with FEMA throughout the South.

Ike was preceded in death by his parents; Daniel and Evalyn; infant brother: son: Douglas in 2005.

He is survived by his wife: Luella of Cambridge; daughter: Rebecca of Hamilton, TX ; 11 grandchildren; 6 great. daughter-in-law: Darla Aufdencamp of Ogallala, NE

Ike chose cremation and a service will be held at a future date. Memorials may be left in his name at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary. Friends may leave on-line condolences at lockenour.com.
