Isiah Lee Mccauley

Isiah Lee McCauley, age 17, of Trenton, Nebraska, passed away at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. He was born in North Platte, Nebraska on July 28, 2004, to Lee and Kelly (Hunkins) McCauley. He attended school in Trenton. Isiah loved to be with family and friends. He was awarded a Make-A-Wish when he was eight and went to Disney World. Isiah loved to be outdoors, hunting in Oklahoma, Wyoming, Texas, and Wisconsin. He hunted black bear in September to add to his collection of trophy animals. He had also taken a red stag, hogs, elk, sheep, and deer. Isiah was an avid fisherman taking trips for walleye in Wyoming, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska. The family bought a camper just this last summer and that made more family memories around camping and fishing. Isiah enjoyed going to church at the McCook Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his uncles, Jason Draper and Jeremy Hunkins. Isiah is survived by his parents, Lee and Kelly of Trenton; sisters, Autumn (Tyler Lytle) McCauley and Jalyssa McCauley, all of Trenton; paternal grandparents, Richard and Donna McCauley; maternal grandparents, Gary and Jeanne Hunkins, all of Trenton; uncles and aunts: Richie (Danielle) McCauley of Trenton; Noel (Shannon) League of Trenton; Taylor McCauley of Lincoln; Sandy (Troy) James of McCook; Lisa (Jeff) Draper-Benus of Maysville, Missouri and a host of cousins. Funeral services will be held at the McCook Christian Church on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kyle Dellevoet officiating. Interment will be in the Trenton Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook on Sunday, May 8, 2022, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Friends may leave online condolences at herrmannfh.com.
