Harold D Talley

Harold Dale Talley passed away October 9, 2020 at CHI Hospital, Kearney, Nebraska. He was 89 years old. Harold was born on February 28, 1931 to Ennis and Minnie (Morthole) Talley at Culbertson, Nebraska. He attended school in Huntley, Wyoming & Blue Springs, Nebraska. Harold worked various jobs and helped build the Trenton and Harlan County Dams as well as the Government Grain Storage Buildings. He enlisted and served in the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War, from 1950-1954 . He said this was the best experience of his life. Harold returned home from the service and worked for Firestone in McCook and was part Owner/Manager of TEK Tire Company for 28 years where he made lifelong friendships. Harold was a member of the McCook Christian Church and the Culbertson VFW. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Stanley, sisters, Eileen Porter and Maxine Riley, and grandson, Baby Mark Talley. Survivors include his wife, Lynda Ferguson Talley, his children: H.Mark Talley of Fort Collins, Colorado, Patricia "Trish" (Phyl) Rippen of Culbertson, Linda (Don) Eckles, of Louisville, Nebraska, and Christa (Mark) Fritson of Holdrege, Nebraska, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, brother, Paul (Roseanne) Talley of Texas, several nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members and friends.
