Harold E. Fisher

Harold Fisher, age 65, died at the Hillcrest Nursing home in McCook on January 5, 2015. He was born in McCook, NE on October 19, 1949 to Everett and Florence McDowell. Harold attended school in McCook. On August 25, 1969, he joined the Army National Guard and served till May 23, 1975. Harold was employed as an over the road truck drive for most of his life, moving to where the job took him. He lived all over the United States, until settling in Ogallala, NE in 1994. He worked for both Crete Carrier Company and CFI. On February 28, 1995 he married Diana (Baker) Fielding. They made their home for 7 years in Ogallala till they moved to Culbertson in 2001. Harold has been in the Hillcrest nursing home for the last year due to health concerns. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife; Diana of Culbertson; son: Daniel of Colorado 2 step sons: Chad Fielding of Dallas, TX; Brad Fielding f Des Moines, IA; 2 sisters: Colleen Geishler of Oberlin, KS; Cheryl and husband Dale Stewart of Indianola, NE; 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandson. Funeral services will be held graveside at the Riverview Cemetery of McCook at 10:00 AM with Mike Roth officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 AM till 6:00 PM.
