Gordon Dean "Woody" Leach

Gordon "Woody" Leach, age 65, died at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Sunday, February 13, 2011. He was born in Oberlin, Kansas on May 14, 1945, to Charles "Jack" and Florence (Warner) Leach. Gordon graduated from Lebanon High School in 1964. He worked on the family farm. In 1975, he went to work for Bill Ellis and several other farmers in the area. After his mother died in 1985 Bill Ellis was appointed his guardian. Woody lived in his home in Lebanon until 2010 when for health reasons he moved to the Cambridge Manor in Cambridge. Woody was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Florence and a brother: Howard. He is survived by his sister: Phyllis and husband Neil Wiseman of Gibbon, NE; nieces and nephews and guardian: Bill Ellis.

Funeral services will be held at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary on February 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tim Burke officiating. Interment will be in the Lebanon, Cemetery in Lebanon, NE. Memorials may be left in his name at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 10:00 AM till 5:00 PM and on Thursday morning prior to the funeral services.
