Gloria J. Warren passed away Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook, Nebraska, surrounded by her loving family. She was 80 years old.

Gloria was born at home in McCook on November 16, 1945, to Reuben Dale “Jones” Munsell and Etta Jane (Parsons) Frerichs. On August 5, 1962, Gloria was united in marriage to Ronald Alvin Warren in McCook at the Church of God. To this union five children were born: Kellie, Toby, Corey, Brian, and Brett.

Gloria made her home in the McCook area, where she and Ron raised their family and built their life together. Over the years they were involved in several family businesses, including Warren Electric Company, Warren Satellite Service, and later Midway Pilot Car Service. Gloria managed route surveys for numerous transportation companies across the United States and Canada and was well known for her thorough work, attention to detail, and the many conversations she shared with people along the way. Gloria also worked for Pinpoint Communications for around four years, she truly enjoyed her co-workers and the customers she met.

Gloria never met a stranger and had an incredibly generous heart. She loved people and had a way of making everyone feel welcome. Her home was often filled with family, laughter, and time spent together. Going to Grandma’s house was something her grandchildren always looked forward to. Gloria was deeply proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and loved sharing stories about them. Many in McCook knew what the family was up to because Gloria was always happy to talk about those she loved most.

Gloria was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses over 58 yrs ago on February 3, 1968. She loved to share the Bible’s hope of life without pain and sorrow as recorded at Revelation 21:3-4. Her dedication to her beliefs and her desire to serve and care for others were essential to who she was.

Many fond memories were made around Gloria’s kitchen table, where she loved cooking for family and friends. She also had a special love for dogs, and over the years many family dogs eventually found their way into her home, where they were always welcomed.

Gloria enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time outdoors. She especially cherished trips with her family, including a memorable cruise celebrating her and Ron’s 50th wedding anniversary and many trips to South Dakota. For many years, Gloria and her sister also made an annual Memorial Day trip to Quinter, Kansas, bringing the children along to place flowers on family graves and visit relatives — a tradition that created lasting memories for generations.

Above all, Gloria treasured her role as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her family remained the center of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Warren; her parents, Dale and Etta; her brother, Gerald Munsell; and her sister, Shirley Vogel. Also preceding her in death were her nephew, Kenneth Vogel; brother-in-law, Dan Vogel; nieces, JoEtta and Sharon (John) Barger.

She is survived by her five children and their families: daughter, Kellie (Ron) Soden of McCook and their children, Kimberly (Jodi) Duncan, Kristopher (Andy) Soden, Andrea (Giovanni) Estrada, and Carsyn Craig; son, Toby (Carolyn) Warren of Brighton, Colorado and their son, Harrison; son, Corey (Laura) Warren of Parker, Colorado and their children, Noah and Tara; son, Brian (Amanda) Warren of Culbertson, Nebraska and their children, Evan, Kole, and Leah; and son, Brett (Chelsea) Warren of McCook and their children, Bryanna, Payton (Amerikiss), Natalya (Zach), Everleigh, Parker, Olympia, and Aurelia.
