Glora P Clark

Glora Clark, age 90, passed away at her home in McCook, NE on Saturday, June 19, 2021. She was born in Hayes Center, NE on October 14, 1930 to Glen and Wretha (Wilson) Scott. She attended and graduated from Hayes Center High School. On January 19, 1949, she was united in marriage to William Clark. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2003. The couple lived on the farm for several years before moving to McCook in 1958. Glora worked as a nurses aide at St. Catherines Hospital and later the Community Hospital for over 35 years. She also worked for Dr. Lannigers office, Burns Podiatry, Kleins Motor and Electric, and the City of McCook as Payroll Clerk. She enjoyed crocheting. Glora was an excellent baker known for her dinner rolls, cinnamon rolls and especially, her chocolate chip cookies. Glora was always willing to help people in need, taking care of them long before what we call home health today. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Wretha; husband, William; three sisters: Vira (Jim) Colson, Viola (Norvel) Trout, Glendola (Raymond) Evans; three brothers: Homer, Norman (Karen) Scott and Roland Scott. Glora is survived by her son, Steve and wife Sharon Clark, grandchildren, Heather (Shane) Myers, Tiffany (Jerime) Sund; step-grandchildren, Ann (Gene) Theodori, Michelle (Cody) Ervin; great grandchildren: Tayte Myers, Abbey Myers, Oliver Sund, Violet Sund; step- grandson, Christian Sund; sister-in-law, LaVerna Scott of Emporia, KS and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel Thursday, June 24, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. with Mike Roth officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be left in Gloras name at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel.
