Glenda Jo Miracle

Glenda Jo Miracle, 69, passed away on November 17 at El Dorado Manor in Trenton, Ne. She was born on October 19, 1947 in Cambridge, Ne., to Glenn and Dorothy (Purdue) Moore. Glenda grew up in Cambridge and she graduated from Cambridge High School in 1966. She was confirmed in the United Methodist Church in Cambridge. After high school, she attended Kearney State College at Kearney, Ne. She then went on to attend Josephs College of Beauty in Lincoln, Ne., where she received her cosmetology license. Glenda worked as a beautician in Lincoln and then continued working in McCook, from her home, for many years. Glenda married Russell Miracle on May 25, 1968 in Cambridge, Ne. In 1971, while driving in Lincoln they welcomed twin sons to the family. When the boys were in elementary school, the family moved to Arizona. In 1986 they completed the family by adopting two daughters. Glenda was an excellent seamstress. She loved to sew extravagant dresses, decorative items, and had an incredibly creative and artistic talent. She also made, dressed, and sold dolls. She was very involved in her childrens lives. She loved to support their interests and provided costuming anytime it was needed. Her entire life, she loved extravagant hats, scarves, and jewelry. Glenda is survived by her children, Scott Miracle and wife Susan, Jeff Miracle and wife Jessica, and Kathy Miracle; brother Larry Moore and wife Barbara; 11 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard Moore. A memorial service will be held at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel of McCook, Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dave Davidson officiating. Reception to follow at the Chapel. A private inurnment to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be left in her name at Herrmann-Jones.
