Gladys Marie Delimont

Gladys Marie Delimont of McCook passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Hillcrest Nursing Home. She was 98 years old. Gladys was born on December 21, 1918 at Culbertson, Nebraska to parents, Conrad and Amelia Rose (Miller) Schoup. She attended school at Culbertson. Gladys was united in marriage to George Huff. He preceded her in death on June 13, 1971. On January 2, 1975 she married Robert Delimont at Oxford, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2001. Gladys and Robert made their home in McCook where Gladys worked at Macs Drive Inn for a time and then for Dayco Rubber and Hose Plant for many years. Robert and Gladys loved to spend time camping and fishing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Conrad and Amelia Schoup; husbands, George Huff and Robert Delimont; two step-sons, Terry and Thomas Delimont; one sister, Margie Doty; four brothers, Raymond, Kenneth, Clifford "Pete" and Leon Schoup; sister-in-law, Florence Case and her husband, Ivan Case; and brothers-in-law, James P. Dunlay, Donald E. Wolfe, and Raymond Lehmer. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Frances C. Dunlay and Mary Ann Lehmer both of Orleans; very special friends, Patty and Mike Grenier of McCook; and two step-grandchildren, Misty Dawn Delimont and Heather Delimont. Memorials may be given in her name to Hillcrest Nursing Home. Visitation will be today, Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 12, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook with Pastor Richard Karr officiating.
