Gidgett Marie Starr

Gidgett "Marie" Starr, age 49, of Bartley, passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on January 10, 2020, due to health complications. She was born on July 15, 1970 in Wickenburg, AZ to Milton and Edith (Kneebone) Starr. She met her significant other, Gabriel Sena, of 32 years in Greeley, Colorado, shortly after which they moved to Bartley, NE. She attended Mid-Plains Community College to complete her high school diploma. Marie enjoyed her grandchildren. She loved to read books, do puzzles, play games and card games with her grandkids. She was a loving, dedicated mother and grandma. She had a big heart and was always there for anyone who needed her. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her mother Edith V. Winters. Marie is survived by her father, Milton Starr of Greeley, Co; significant other, Gabriel Sena of Bartley, daughters, Kimberly and husband Ruben Gallegos of McCook, Rachelle Sena of Bartley, Laura Sena and significant other, Ryan Blake of McCook, 11 grandchildren: Anthony, Anastasia, Ariel, Adalynn, Alana, Ailah, Maliyah, Benson, Camden, Korbin and Kacen; 1 great grandchild Jaine; brother, James and wife Samantha Starr of Greeley, CO; along with many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Jim Jones officiating. A private family inurnment has been planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel.
