Geraldine 'Mary' Hlavinka

Geraldine Mary Hlavinka Geraldine Mary Hlavinka, formerly of McCook, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the age of 93 in Littleton, Colorado. She was born June 5, 1925 in Grand Island, NE. She attended school in Glendale, Horace and Scotia, NE. In 1944, she married Edward Hlavinka in Grand Island. To this union there were three children born; David Edward, Gerald Lavern and Lynda Darlene. Mary was a stay-at-home mom most of her life and treasured all her time with her family. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, volunteering, crafts, BPO Does and playing Bridge. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; her son, Gerald and grandson, Dana Hlavinka. She is survived by her son, David, of Custer, SD, and daughter Lynda Fine of Littleton, Colorado. She is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Memorials may be given in her name. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 21, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m. at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. Funeral service will be Wednesday, August 22, 2018, 10:30 a.m. at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook with Pastor Alisa Parde officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
