Georgia Davis

Georgia M. (Clark) Davis, age 93, passed away at Linden Court in North Platte, Nebraska on June 6, 2022. She was born in McCook, Nebraska on May 21, 1929, to George and Marie (Fahrenbruch) Clark. Georgia graduated from McCook High School in 1947. On February 19, 1948, she married David Davis in Roseburg, Oregon. Georgia was a polio survivor, contracting polio in the early 1950s. She taught piano and organ lessons in her home for over 50 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a church organist for over 40 years. Georgia was also a talented crafter who enjoyed crocheting, especially with her dear friend, Betty Bradley. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Eunice Messinger; and grandson, Trent Davis. She is survived by daughter, Rebecca Grint (Steve) and son, Clark Davis (Carmen); grandchildren, Travis Davis and Tiffany Allen (Aric); great-grandchildren: Desiree Gass (Thomas), Sarah Allen, Sydnie Allen, and Sophie Allen; great-great-grandchildren Theo and Enola Gass. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 from 10AM 5PM at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Thursday morning, June 9, 2022 at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook with Mike Roth officiating.
