Gary Maris

     Gary Maris, 69, of McCook, passed away at his home in rural McCook on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.

     Gary was born on December 1, 1956, in North Platte, Nebraska to Delbert and Roberta (Porter) Maris.

     Gary graduated from McCook Senior High School in 1975. After graduating, Gray moved to Colorado where he met and married his wife, Debra Coulter. The couple later moved and settled back in Nebraska.

     Gary worked as a farmer and truck driver. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football and spending time with his family.

     He is preceded in death by his father, Delbert Maris; wife, Debra (Coulter) Maris; sister, Darlene Geihsler; and grandson, Darian Marston.

     Gary is survived by his mom, Roberta Maris; sons, Richard Maris and Darin Marston; daughter, Dusty Marston; brothers, Gerald (Debra) Maris and Ron Maris; brother-in-law, Gene Geihsler; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and beloved, loyal companion, his dog, Wes.

     Cremation was chosen and the family is planning a service for a later date.
