Gary Garyboy Edwin Laverack

Cambridge - Gary Laverack was born on August 6, 1951 at McCook, NE to Vernon and Juanita (Roepke) Laverack and passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Good Samaritan in Arapahoe, NE at the age of 65.

Gary was a very special child born with medical issues he worked to overcome. With the help of his family, he learned to walk and talk and made friends with every one he met. Gary always lived at home until his mother passed away in 2008. A new adventure started for Gary when he moved to his new home at Good Samaritan Society in Arapahoe, NE. They took Gary in and made him part of their family and he loved it there.

Gary was preceded in death by his father and mother, his maternal and paternal grandparents and many aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his sister, Vernita and husband Greg Saylor and brother, Lyle and wife Shar Laverack, all of Cambridge, nephews, Joel Saylor of North Carolina and Kaleb and wife Rachael Laverack of South Dakota, nieces Melinda and husband Ben Collier of Colorado and Jennifer and husband Brandon Koch of Kearney, NE and five great nephews, Brodie, Kemper, Kase and Sam and great niece, Alaina. Also, his aunt Lorena Ems of Arapahoe and many cousins and wonderful friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, 3:00 7:00 p.m. at Lockenour Jones Mortuary.

Funeral services will be on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 2:00 at the Congregational Church and interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery. Memorials will be given to Good Samaritan Society of Arapahoe.

Lockenour-Jones Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
