Gary Huffman

     Gary Lee Huffman was born on February 26, 1939 in McCook, Nebraska to CL and June (Allen) Huffman; he was the oldest brother of four children, his sisters were Sue, Joyce, and Linda. Gary attended school in McCook and graduated from McCook High School with the class of 1958.

     Gary was united in marriage to Joyce Mitchell in 1959. Gary and Joyce made a home in McCook where he had a long career with Midwest Livestock. When not working, Gary loved to fish and hunt.

     Gary passed away at his home near Harry Strunk Lake on Sunday, April 12, 2026. He was 87 years of age.

     He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Joyce (Gordon) Moore and Linda (Randy) Higgason.

     Survivors include his wife, Joyce; son, Mike; daughter, Kim (Jerry) Niemeth; sister, Sue Howitt; grandchildren: Jesse (Amanda) Niemeth, Kati Latulip, Kelly Huffman (Kevin Dasher), and MaChelle (Breven) Sondergaard; seven great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

     Cremation was chosen. And no formal services are being planned at this time.
