Frank David Redden of Indianola passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at Community Hospital in McCook. He was 80 year old. Frank was born at Haigler, Nebraska on May 21, 1935, to parents, George Elmer and Jane Emma (Underhill) Redden. He attended Haigler Schools. On July 17, 1954 he was united in marriage to Letha Alberta Wright at St. Francis, Kansas. To this union six children were born. Frank worked in various jobs throughout his life time. He was most recently self-employed in the tree trimming business until his retirement. Frank was a member of the McCook Eagles and Path Finders Cycle Club. He loved watching stock car races and was also a member of Southwest Nebraska Car Racing Association. He also enjoyed fishing and target shooting. Preceding him in death were his parents, George and Jane Redden; wife, Letha Redden; son, Glenn Elmer Redden; infant son, Gailen Redden and infant daughter, Brenda Redden; sisters, Ida Sass, Rosie Trembath, Grace Cox, Martha Andrews, Betty Neitz and Blanche Brown; and brothers, Pete, Harry, Leonard and Bill Redden. Survivors include his three sons, Geary Redden and wife, Patricia, of Grand Island, Timothy Redden and wife, Tammie, of McCook and Terry Redden and wife, Tammy, of Kearney; six grandchildren and one great-grandson. Memorials may be given in his name. Friends may go online at www.herrmannfh.com to extend condolences to the family. It was Franks wish to be cremated. Private family graveside services will be held at a later time at the Haigler Cemetery, Haigler, Nebraska. Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel of McCook is in charge of the arrangements.
