Frank Albert Gaston AKA "Frankie, The Kid, Grand Pupa, Buster Bogtrotter, The Great Colorado Kahuna", age 74, of Trenton, Nebraska, passed away peacefully at his home in Trenton Saturday, August 6, 2022. Frank Gaston was born on May 27, 1948 to Gerald and Bette (Burkett) Gaston in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He attended Westminster high school graduating in 1966. He attended Front Range Community College graduating with an associate degree in 1994. Frank married the love of his life and soulmate, Sharon (Judish) Gaston on April 6, 1974 in Westminster, Colorado. After starting as friends in high school they reconnected six years later and the two fell in love and got married within three months. Frank and Sharon settled in their first home in Denver, Colorado where they lived until 2008, moving to Trenton Nebraska where their whole family soon joined them. Frank was a jack of all trades and master of most from: TV repair, to setting and delivering mobile homes, owning an automobile shop, coaching wizards peewee football with his son to most recently operating a backhoe for his sons plumbing business. Frank also enjoyed his time being a very active member of the Northglenn Elks Lodge and is a past exalted ruler, he is also a member of the Masonic lodge. Frank enjoyed many hobbies such as: fishing, hunting, rooting on his favorite sports teams especially the Broncos and Avalanche. He also enjoyed the many activities his grandchildren were involved in. He took pride in his mule, Mollie, his son, Buddie, the dog, tinkering with his "million dollar ideas", cooking , running the excavator, boating, water skiing, BSing, telling stories, drinking with friends and family and being the smartest person in every room he entered. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Bette Gaston; sister, Terri Huffman; father and mother-in-law, Ruddy and Betty Judish; brother-in-law, Rock Judish; and niece, Mandy Judish. Frank is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon Gaston of Trenton; his daughters, Carrie Losey (Dave Swanson) and Cammie Gaston; son, Dusty Gaston (Jamie Shifflet) of Trenton; seven grandchildren: Nick Losey, Shelby (Billy) Straub, Alison Losey, Gavin Losey, Kyler Gaston, Kolyn Gaston, Keynan Gaston; two great-grandchildren, Colten Straub and Oakleigh Straub; nephews: Eric (Jess) Huffman, Casey Judish, Zack Judish; niece, Lizzi (Jayden) Huffman; brothers-in-law, Mark (Pat) Judish and Rick Huffman. Family includes Jen Gaston of Hays Center and Ken Hall of Colorado. Family will have a celebration of life on May 27, 2023 in Trenton, NE. Time and location to be determined.
