Francis 'Frank' R. Conley

Francis "Frank" R. Conley, age 88, of McCook passed away at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook on June 22, 2018. Frank was born in Max, Nebraska on September 11, 1929 to Ray and Lela (Hennis) Conley. At the age of 16 Frank quit school and went to work on the railroad. He worked as a section laborer, retiring after 47 years. Frank was united in marriage to Wanda Pounds at the Pleasant Home Church in Brewster, KS on June 13, 1965. To this union, two children were born: Debra and Mark. Frank loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting and shooting his guns, riding his motorcycles. He was an accomplished artist and wood worker. Frank was a Master Mason, belonging to the A.F. & A.M. Lodge of St. Francis, Kansas for over 53 years. Family was an important part of Franks life. He was a devoting and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. His compassion will be missed greatly by his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Lowery; and a grandson: Andy Conley. He is survived by his wife, Wanda; daughter: Debra and husband Rich Dack; son Mark and wife Callie Conley all of McCook, NE; 11 Grandchildren; Shandell Rankin, Dawnovan Polfus, David Noe, Cady Conley, Zach Noe, Matthew Conley, Miles Dack, Bryan Conley, Cameron Dack, Zander Dack, Trinity Dack, 9 great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 10:30 AT with Mike Roth officiating. Interment will be in the Riverview Cemetery of McCook. Memorials may be left in his name at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel. Friends may leave on-line condolences at herrmannfh.com.
