Ersel Joy Boyd, 91, of Augusta, KS, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 in Wichita. Visitation will be 9:00 am until service begins at 11:00 am Friday, May 27, 2016, at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta, KS. An additional visitation and service will be held 1:00 pm until service begins at 3:00 pm, Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the First Congregational Church in Cambridge, NE with Bill

weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, NE. Ersel was born in Orleans, NE on October 12, 1924, to Verna M. (Culver) and Andrew D. Bose. She owned the Dairy Sweet in Cambridge, NE until 1988 when she moved to Augusta, KS. On June 15, 1946 she married Harold M. Boyd in Hastings, NE. He preceded her in death in 1972. She is survived by: son, Errol Boyd and wife Linda of Andover, KS; daughters, Ruth Elledge of Andover, KS, and Iris Boyd of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, J. Andrew, Matthew, and Kevin Elledge, Jeremy, Christopher, Barry, and Melissa Boyd; great grandchildren, Dezirae and Desteni Boyd, Noah, Vivian, Abigail, Addison, and Allison Elledge; many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold, her brothers Jay, Willis, and Dean Bose; sisters, Evelyn Kohlun, infant sister Iris and son-in-law, Kenneth Elledge.
