Emma Ruth Harding

Emma Ruth Harding age 94 of Cambridge died at her home on Friday December 24, 2010. She was born near Holbrook, NE on March 7, 1916 to Lloyd and Nell (Davis) Stephen. She attended School throught he 8th grade in Holbrook. On May 21, 1936 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Harding at Beaver City, NE. To this union 4 children were born: Carolyn, Marilyn, Donald and Judy. Ruth spent most of her life on the farm north of Cambridge. Ruth worked for the Cambridge memorial Hospital for 9 years as a nurses aid. She and Lloyd retired and moved to town in 1973. Ruth loved to plant big gardens, grow flowers, ceramics, knit and crocheted. Her biggest enjoyment was her family and family dinners. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd on February 20, 1996; 3 sisters: Mildred Noel; Marge Stephens; Grace Karash; 2 brothers: Eldon and Floyd Stephens. She is survived by her 3 daughters: Carolyn and husband Don Sayer of Hutchison, KS; Marilyn and husband Larry Kubik of Cambridge; Judy Phillips of Curtis; 1 son Don and wife Annetta Harding of Cambridge ; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AMTuesday December 28, 2010 at the TrinityUnitedMethodistChurch of Cambridge with Pastor Sherry Sklenar officiating. Interment will be in the FairviewCemetery of Cambridge. Memorial may be left to the TriValley Health System of Cambridge. Friend may leave on line condolences at lockenour.com
