Elaine Louise Bedore

Elaine L. (Meyer) Bedore January 13, 1931- December 14, 2016 Elaine L. Bedore died Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the McCook Community Hospital in McCook, NE at the age of 85. She was born January 13, 1931 in Gosper County Nebraska where she grew up on the family farm north of Arapahoe. On November 3, 1950, Elaine married Loren J. Bedore at St. Patricks Catholic Church in McCook, NE. They spent their married life in Culbertson where Elaine worked as a beautician hair stylist. Elaine was a member of the Culbertson Womens Club and of St. James Catholic Church. She enjoyed many years of being a homemaker, and working with crafts of all types traveling to craft shows with her best friend, Jackie Rippen. She was preceded in death by her husband Loren J. Bedore on Sept. 28, 2006, parents-Henry and Adele (Wendland) Meyer, brother, Glen Meyer, sister in law Roselene Weber and husband Ernest, brother in law Melvin Bedore and wife Virginia. She is survived by her three children; one daughter, Vernetta Gohl of Omaha; two sons, Joel Bedore and wife, Sharon of McCook, and Lowell Bedore and wife Marlene of Culbertson, eight grandchildren, Stephanie Linke and husband, Ryan, Kelly Gohl, Courtney Holub and husband, Jared, Melanie Bradley and husband Ryan, Kyle Bedore and wife Michelle, Ryan Bedore and wife Alex, Kody Bedore, and Heath Bedore; eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends. Memorials may be given in her name. Visitation will be Friday, December 16, 2016, 9:00 a.m. at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel until time of rosary which will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friends may go online at www.herrmannfh.com to extend condolences to the family. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at St. Patricks Catholic Church in McCook, with the Rev Gary Brethour officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery following the funeral Mass. Herrmann-Jones Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of arrangements. Visitation
