Dustin Richard Robinson

Dustin Richard Robinson age 48 of McCook passed away at the Bryan East Campus Hospital in Lincoln, NE on February 2, 2020. He was born on September 18, 1971 in McCook to Bernard and Catherine (Glick) Robinson. Cathy later married Mike Brown and he has helped raise Dustin and Brandon for the past 20 years. Dustins life has been a life of virtual innocence and has never had to grow up. Dustin attended McCook Public Schools and graduated from McCook High School in 1992. Dustin worked at the Southwest Area Training Center as an assembler of parts. Dustin and Brandon were known throughout Nebraska for their outgoing personalities. Dustin was always wearing a badge, or a name tag pinned or stuck to his shirt. Dustin volunteered at the McCook Humane Society, the McCook Pantry stocking shelves. He enjoyed watercolor painting, bowling, 4-H and fishing at Barnett Park with the lucky red licorice. The family enjoyed stockcar races at the fairgrounds. Dustin liked to watch western movies especially John Wayne, and all the Marvel Superheros Batman and Superman. It was a special time at Christmas when he could get his picture taken with Santa Claus. He was preceded in death by his father, both maternal and paternal grand parents and an aunt Maggie Fox. Dustin is survived by his parents: Mike and Cathy Brown and brother, Brandon of McCook, aunts and uncles: John and Donna Brown of Indianola, Jerry and Kandi Brown of Bartley, Sue Matson of McCook, Randy and Dianna Brown of North Platte, Frank Brown of Davenport, IA, Rod Fox of McCook; cousins: Denna and Scott Johnson of McCook, Rhonda and Todd Strumpf of Cheyenne, WY. Memorial services will be held at the Congregational Church of McCook on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Steve Bales officiating. A private family inurnment will take place.
