Doyle Edward Kasper

Doyle E. Kasper age 73 of McCook, passed away at the Community Hospital of McCook on Saturday, October 6, 2018. He was born in McCook on November 4, 1944 to Louis and Dorothy (Woolen) Kasper. Doyle grew up on the family farm south of Oberlin. He attended school in Oberlin. Doyle helped his father on the farm for many years. Doyle was united in marriage to Karen Tirrill of McCook on March 26, 1964. Doyle left the farm and worked at several other places in the Oberlin area: the grain elevator in construction, worked at the Pepsi Bottling Company. In the 1985, he opened the Clean and Shine car detailing business and ran that till 2000. He also purchased the East "B" Car Wash and later the Arrow Car Wash. Doyle enjoyed restoring several Corvettes and working on several Camaros. He enjoyed hunting, fishing auctions and a collector of tools, car parts, pottery, clocks, lamps, and "stuff". Doyle was very organized and knew where every part and tool was in his shop and storage. In his early years he would drive his car to Kansas, change the transmission and drag race then change it back and drive home. Doyle remodeled the family home through several additions and a basement. He was preceded in death by his parents: Louis and Dorothy; son: Danny and sister: Karen Galitz. Doyle is survived by his wife Karen; daughter: Jodi and husband Brian Radel; 2 granddaughters: Tatum and Jaimee all of McCook and his companion: Baxter his Basset hound. Funeral services are planned for Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial United Methodist Church in McCook with Pastor Jeff Kelly officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery of McCook. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 10:00 AM till 7:00 PM, family will be present to greet friend from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM.
