Dorothy Lockenour, died July 20, 2019 at 101 years and 10 months at the Elwood Care Center in Elwood, NE. She was born September 16, 1917 to Bud and Verlie Jones in Lincoln, NE. Dorothy was a Gold Star Wife, an American Legion Auxiliary member, a Cambridge Hospital Auxiliary member, active in her church, a volunteer at many activities and known for her kettle corn and divinity.
She was preceded in death by first husband Kenneth Kirchhefer, second husband John Primrose, and last husband Bill Lockenour, as well as siblings Roy Jones, Donald Jones, Patsy Losee, and Betty Riggs C.
Dorothy is survived by daughter Linda Weathers (Pat) of Las Cruces, NM, and son Dan Kirchhefer (Susan Stover), of Topeka, KS, and granddaughters: Amy Glickler, Heather Kirchhefer, Hayley Lanier, Anna Lanier and Scout Lanier, sisters Maxine Bergeron of Vancouver, WA, and Helen Nowka, of York, NE.
Services will be held in Cambridge, Friday, July 26, 2019 at 10 AM at the First Congregational Church with Bill Weaver officiating. Interment will be in the Parkview Cemetery in Hastings, NE at 2:00 PM Friends may leave on-line condolences at lockenour.com. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 10:00 AM till 7:00 PM. Memorials maybe left in her name at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary of Cambridge. Lockenour Jones Mortuary entrusted with arrangements.
