Dorothy Mae Eckhardt

Dorothy Eckhardt, age 94, of McCook, Nebraska died Saturday, February 24, 2018. Dorothy was born in Sacramento, Nebraska on March 1, 1923 to Raymond and Cora (Vermillion) Kentner. Dorothy married Gary Eckhardt on June 1, 1940. Gary and Dorothy moved to McCook in 1952 and owned and operated the Pow Wow Club and Garys Steak Barn until 1999. Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Janet and husband, Larry Rich of McCook; Christina and husband, Mike Bannister of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; one sister, Pat Ackerman, of Pleasanton, California; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Memorials may be given in her name to the McCook Humane Society.
