Denille Lynn Burke

Denille Lynn Burke of McCook, NE passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at her sons home in Cambridge surrounded by her family. She was 45 years old. Denille was born on February 19, 1970 at Englewood, CO to parents Dennis Lynn and Julianne Faye (Pape) Garrett. She graduated from McCook High School in 1988 and continued her education at McCook Community College. On September 15, 1990, she was united in marriage to Richard Burke at McCook. To this union a son, Garrett, was born. Denille was employed as a dispatcher for the McCook Police Department and jailer for the Red Willow County Sheriffs Department for many years until her health prevented her from working. She was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church. Denille enjoyed playing league softball, bowling, and home decorating. She had a passion for musicals and theater in general and cheering on her favorite football teams the Denver Broncos and Nebraska Cornhuskers. Her family were her pride and joy and she cherished the time spent with them. Preceding her in death were her parents, Dennis and Julianne Garrett; and maternal and paternal grandparents. Survivors include her son, Garrett (Ashley) Burke, of Cambridge; brother, Aaron (Michael) Garrett of Redding, CA; sister, Elizabeth Garrett of Norfolk, NE; and one granddaughter, Bristall Burke of Cambridge; and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary will be recited Monday, February 1, 2016, 6:30 p.m. at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel with Father Gary Brethour officiating.
