Deanna Kay Morgan

Deanna Kay Morgan, age 70, passed away at the Hillcrest Care Center in McCook on November 26, 2023. She was born on March 15, 1953, and at a young age was adopted by Harry and Mae (Sims) Jenkins. Deanna attended and graduated from McCook High School in 1972. She married Glenn Morgan II on December 22, 1972, and to this union three children were born, Trisha, Tina, and Glenn. Glenn preceded her in death on April 1, 2008. Deanna was baptized in the Methodist church as a young girl. She loved her pets and animals. She fed pigeons and doves. She enjoyed her dogs. Deanna volunteered at the McCook Humane Society. She was a huge Nebraska and Pro football fan. Deanna was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Mae, and husband Glenn. Deanna is survived by her two daughters, Trisha Morgan of McCook and Tina Morgan of Colorado; son, Glenn and wife, Christy Morgan of McCook; four grandchildren: Robert James and wife, Sabrina of Waco, TX, Alex McKenzie and wife, Dakota Morgan of McCook, Winnifred Rose Morgan, and Timothy Allen Persley; as well as great-granddaughter, Lucia Rose Morgan. The family chose cremation. Memorial services will be held at the Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel on December 6, 2023, at 2:00 PM, with Pastor Bruce Lester officiating.
