Darrick Victor Carlson

Darrick V. Carlson age 35, died at his home in McCook on November 26, 2014. He was born in Ord, Nebraska on December 4, 1978 to Victor and Sharon (Meyers) Carlson. Darrick grew up in Battle Creek, Nebraska. He attended school in Battle Creek. Darrick was an over the road trucker for many years. He recently moved to McCook, Nebraska where he was employed by Valmont Industries as a welder. He had just take and passed his licensing test to become an electrician. Darrick was a tech-nerd. He enjoyed building and working on computers. Darrick married Erin Bottolfsen in 2007 and to this union two children were born: Austin and Skylar. He married Jeana Keenan Cozad on December 10, 2013. Darrick was preceded in death by his brother: Nickolas Carlson. Darrick is survived by his wife: Jeana of McCook; children: Austin Carlson and Skylar; mother and step-father: Sharon and Dewey Raburn of McCook, NE; father and step-mother: Victor and Cindy Carlson of Oakdale, NE ; brother: Doug and wife Michelle Carlson, Lincoln, NE; sister: Misti Sorensen of McCook, NE; three nieces: Trinity; Faith; Isabel Sorensen and nephew: Logan Sorensen. Memorial services are planned for Wednesday at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook at 1:00 PM with Pastor K.C. Harryman officiating.
