Danielle Cruse

Danielle Cruse, age 48, passed away at her home in McCook on July 3, 2021. She was the only daughter of Daniel and Paulette (Carter) Jones, born in Fair Bluff, North Carolina, on October 17, 1972. Danielle attended school in North Carolina and graduated from high school. She continued her education studying general curriculum. Danielle worked for a short time for the United States Postal Service, but resigned to stay home and care for her grandmother during an extended illness. In 2015, she moved to Nebraska. In 2016, she met Phillip Cruse, marrying him on September 8, 2018 in McCook. Danielle was a member of the McCook Eagles, she enjoyed reading and working with Phillip managing apartments. She was preceded in death by her mother, Paulette Jones. Danielle is survived by her husband Phillip; seven step children: Betty (Dave Fulkerson) Hartpence of LaGrange, IN, Dan (Kathy) Hallagin of Lawton, OK, Robert (Ann) Hallagin of Fullerton, NE, Tamice (Dave) Moore of Belgrade, NE, Phillip Cruse of Grand Island, NE, John Smith of Grand Island, NE, Leroy (Misha) Cruse of Lincoln, NE; others that called her mom: Buck Tyree, Will Tyree, Melanie Boone Potter, Allen Curtis; 30 grandchildren; two aunts, Wanda (Wayne) Bryant of Fork, SC and Landis (Joseph) Clark of Lakeview, SC; three nephews: Lance Clark, Joey Clark and Brian Clark. A graveside service will be held at the Maywood Cemetery on a future date. Memorials may be left in Danielles name. Friends may leave on-line condolences at herrmannfh.com.
