Claudia Christine Schnabel

BENKELMAN, Neb. -- Claudia C. Schnabel, age 75, of Benkelman, passed away at Hester Memorial Home on May 11, 2016. She was born in McCook, Neb., on Nov. 24, 1940, to Leo B. and Claudine Maun (Adams) Frank. The family moved to Trenton, where Claudia attended and graduated from Trenton High School in 1958. She was united in marriage to Noel Schnabel on April 4, 1958. Claudia worked as a custodian for the Trenton High School. She was the owner of the Wagon Wheel Arcade in Trenton. She enjoyed golf, crossword puzzles and doing crafts. She was preceded in death by her parents. Claudia leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Noel of Benkelman; sons, Alan and wife, Virginia Schnabel of St. Robert, Mo.; Leon and wife, Melanie Schnabel of Brule, Neb.; daughters, Chris and husband, Roger Smith of McCook and Rhonda and husband, Pat Lewis of McCook; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Marla and husband, Denny Reiners of Trenton, Cindy and husband, Bill Weidner of Highland, Ill., and Fran and husband, Harlan Drain of Sidney, Neb. Rosary is Wednesday, May 18, 2016, 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church in Trenton with the Rev. Lothar Gilde officiating. Private family inurnment will take place at the St. James Cemetery in Trenton on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at 1:30 p.m. Memorials may be left in Claudia's name at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook.
