Christopher 'Chris' Paul Klein

Christopher Chris Paul Klein, age 51, of McCook, NE passed away as the result of a motor vehicle accident on January 8, 2016 near Stratton, NE. He was born in McCook, NE on December 5, 1964 to Richard and Barbara (Ninemires) Klein. Chris attended and graduated from McCook High School in 1983. He later went for a semester to the University of Kearney. Chris was employed with Berexco LLC and Pizza Hut at the time of his death. Chris was a collector of sports memorabilia and collecting baseball and football cards. He was an avid Pittsburg Steeler and Nebraska Cornhusker Football fan. He also enjoyed watching his son Gavyn play football and wrestle. Chris and Robin Brown were joined in marriage on April 6, 1996 at the Peace Lutheran Church in McCook, NE. To this union two children were born. Chris was preceded in death by his father Richard Klein; aunt, Marian Klein; grandparents, Jake and Anna Klein and Roy and Ruth Ninemires. Chris is survived by his wife, Robin Klein of McCook; daughter, Kerrigan Klein of Aurora, CO; son, Gavyn Klein of McCook, NE; daughter, Kimberly Trask of Simi Valley, CA; two stepsons, Trent Cook and wife, Josi, of Culbertson, NE and Payton Cook and wife, Tessa, of Fort Riley, KS; four grandchildren, Rilynn, Ruger, Scarlett and Emberlin; mother, Barbara Klein of McCook, NE; two sisters, Sally Henderson and husband, Doug, of Alliance, NE and Ruth Ann Klein of McCook, NE; one brother, Richard Mark Klein and wife, Penny, of Catlett, VA; and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be held at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel on Tuesday January 12th, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. till 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Peace Lutheran Church in McCook, NE on Wednesday, January 13, 2016, 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Tom Albertson officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook, NE. Memorials may be left in Chris' name for the establishment of a college fund for Gavyn Klein. Visitation
