Chris E. Lang age 62, died at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Arapahoe on November 3, 2014. He was born in Norton KS on November 2, 1952 to Edmond and Lelia (Orvis) Lang. Chris attend school in Wilsonville, graduating from Wilsonville High School in 1971.
Chris worked in the filling station in Wilsonville for several years. He went with a custom harvest crew from southern Kansas to the Canadian border cutting wheat then corn harvest in the fall. He worked for several farmers in the area. In the late '80's, Chriss health took a turn and he was diagnosed with MS.
Chris lived in Wilsonville. Chris was known in Wilsonville for his smile and his big tricycle he rode. He enjoyed hunting deer and was very proficient collecting several trophy deer. Chris was a member of the National Rifle Association. He was a member of the Wilsonville Methodist church. Chris has been a resident at the CA Mues Good Samaritan Home in Arapahoe for the past 6 years.
Chris is preceded in death by his parents Edmond and Lelia Lang.
He is survived by his sister Karen Lafler of Kalispell, MT; 2 brothers: Mike and wife Roxy Lang of Wilsonville, NE; Kent Lang of Kearney; 2 nephews: Jeremy and Vicki Lang of McCook and Nic Lang of Moore, Oklanoma.
Funeral services will be held at the Wilsonville Christian Baptist Church on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Becky Saddler. Interment will be in the Wilsonville Cemetery,. Visitation will be held on Thursday and Friday at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge from 9:00 till 6:00 PM. Condolences or personal reflections maybe left at lockeneour.com.
