Charlotte Ilene Jaeger

Charlotte Ilene Jaeger, age 83, passed away at her home near McCook on September 11, 2019. She was born in North Platte, NE on April 23, 1936 to Albert Edgar and Lucille (Konruff) Simants. Charlotte was married to Ray E. Henry in 1952 and to this union two children were born, Neil and Susan. Ray preceded her in death in 2011. She later married Randy Jaeger in 1979 and he preceded her in death in 2007. Charlotte grew up in North Platte and Tryon area. During her marriage to Ray the family lived on a ranch in the sandhills. The family moved to Imperial in 1971. In 1987, she moved to McCook where she managed the Am Pride Station and later at the west Gas N Shop before she retired. Charlotte was an avid reader. She enjoyed gardening , flowers and her pets. She was preceded in death by her husbands Ray and Randy; parents, Albert and Lucille Simants; brother, Charles Simants; sister, Phyllis Thompson and brother-in-law, Stan Smith. Charlotte is survived by her son, Neil and wife, Jayne Henry, of Imperial, NE; daughter, Susan Henry of McCook, NE; son, Shawn Jaeger of Highlands Ranch, CO; stepson, Dru Jaeger of Arizona : five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Leo "Sonny" and wife, Mary Simants, of North Platte and Ted "Butch" and wife, Doris Simants, of North Platte, NE; two sisters, Shirley and husband, Don Sawyer, of McCook, NE and Roxanne Smith of Omaha, NE. In keeping Charlottes wishes the family has chosen cremation and a private family service will be held in the future. Friends may leave-on-line condolences at herrmannfh.com.
