Catherin 'Cathy' Ann Myers

Catherin "Cathy" Ann Myers age 62 of McCook, NE passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. She was born in Denver, CO on October 7, 1957 to Harry and Barbara (Jones) Hixson. Cathy attended school in McCook, graduating with the class of 1976. She went on to the McCook Beauty Academy gaining a license as a beauty operator. On May 22, 1976, Cathy was united in marriage to Arden Myers, the couple would have celebrated 44 years this May. Cathy enjoyed attending races with her husband that drove mini-sprint race cars. She could be seen around town on their Karmann-Ghia trike. Cathy loved her cats. She and Arden traveled to Sturgis for the bike rally several times. Her hobby was knitting. Cathy was an active member of St. Albans Episcopal Church of McCook. She was preceded in death by her son, Angus, and her in-laws, Arden and Edith Myers. Cathy is survived by her husband, Arden, of McCook; 4 daughters, Tabitha Myers of McCook, Tiffany (James) Brunswick of McCook, Afton (Nick) Ralston of McCook, Arica (Justin) Sutter of Omaha; 8 grandchildren; parents, Harry and Barbara Hixson of McCook; 3 sisters, Debbie (Gerald) Maris of Culbertson, Peggy Savage of Bellevue, Linda Koetter of McCook; Sisters-in-law, Ardanna Sepers of Benkelman, and Aardel Walters of North Platte. Memorial services will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday morning, October 3, 2020 at St. Albans Episcopal Church in McCook with Pastor Mary Hendricks officiating. Inurnment will follow services in the Memorial Park Cemetery, McCook. In keeping with Cathy's wishes cremation was chosen. Memorials may be left in Cathys name to either Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Omaha Division or the McCook Humane Society. Friends may leave online condolences at herrmannfh.com.
