Carrie Helena Cole

Carrie Helena Cole age 88 of Trenton passed away at the El Dorado Manor in Trenton on Friday, October 19, 2018. She was born on October 4, 1930 to Clarence and Maggie O. (Baker) Baker on the family farm in Hitchcock County, NE. Helena attended school in Trenton and graduated from Trenton High School in 1949. Carrie Helena Baker was united in marriage to Roy N. Cole at the Church of God in Trenton on June 18, 1949. The couple celebrated 64 years of marriage before Roy preceded her in death in 2013. Helena and Roy made their home in Trenton, NE and the couple farmed the family farms northwest and south of Trenton. Helena was a homemaker that spend her life devoted to caring for her family. Helena enjoyed crocheting, cooking, sewing and oil painting. She and Roy traveled when they were not busy farming or he was away with the railroad. Helena was a lifelong member of the Trenton Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence and Maggie; husband: Roy; a son Donald R. in 1985; 2 brothers: Arthur and Maurice. Helena is survived by her son: Leonard and wife Alberta Cole of Palisade, NE; 9 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 8 great great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws: Lillie Faith of WY; Louise and husband Dan Perez of CO; Veda Lewis of Trenton; Virginia McCashland of KS. Funeral services will be held at the Trenton Church of God on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 10:30 AM with Terry McCorkle officiating. Burial will be in the Trenton Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in Trenton on Thursday, October 24, 2018 from 10:00 am till 7:00 pm.
