Brenda Kay Gresham

Brenda K. Gresham of McCook passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at Hillcrest Nursing Home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 57 years old. Brenda was born on June 5, 1960 at Casper, Wyoming to parents, John August and Kathreen Pauline "Kathy" (Eichorst) Struble. She was baptized as a baby at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairmont, Minnesota and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Mount Hope Lutheran Church in Casper, Wyoming. She graduated from Natrona County High School in Casper with the class of 1978. After graduation Brenda worked at Jackson Lake Lodge in the Tetons. It was there that her love for the outdoors and moose began. On May 6, 1989, she was united in marriage to Kevin Gresham at Gracious Savior Lutheran Church in Edwards, Colorado. To this union two daughters, Andrea and Kendra, were born. They made their home in Gypsum, CO where Brenda was a busy mother and worked at Stop-N- Save. They eventually moved to the McCook community in 2012. Brenda worked as a Medical Aide at Southwest Area Training Services (SWATS) until her health would not allow her to work. Brenda enjoyed everything with the outdoors including traveling, camping, hiking and prospecting which became a family affair. She loved her many animals including cats, dogs, and horses to name a few. She was known for her ability and talented turkey call. Brenda also enjoyed playing Bingo and listening to music. Preceding her in death were her father, John Struble and brother, Willard Struble. Survivors include her husband of 28 years, Kevin Gresham of McCook; two daughters, Andrea and Kendra Gresham both of McCook; mother, Kathy Struble of Torrington, WY; two sisters, Susanna Struble and husband, Larry Scofield of Mesa, AZ and Terrilyn and husband, Thomas Denniston, of Torrington, WY; 16 nieces and one nephew; numerous family and a host of friends. Memorials may be given in her name to McCook Community Hospital Home Health/Hospice or Hillcrest Nursing Home Foundation. Friends may send online condolences to the family at www.herrmannfh.com Memorial services will be Wednesday, June 21, 2017, 3:00 p.m. at Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook with Pastor Brett Hinrichs officiating.
