Brad Dean Ross

Brad D. Ross age 44 died at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on September 20, 2013. He was born in Cambridge on April 2, 1969 to Michael and Judy (Vontz) Ross. Brad graduated from Bartley High School in 1987. He then attended McCook Community College for a year.

Brad had worked for area farmers including Jarod Sayer driving tractors, combines, grain trucks and helping during the calving seasons. He had worked for Otto Weigle as a painter and construction. Brad also worked for Besler Industries. He was currently employed by the Maaschhoff Corporation as a site manager of the Ellwood pork production facility.

Brad was married to Brenda Besler and to this union two children were born; Aubri and Paxton; they were the center of his life. Brad biggest love was to coach for both Paxton and Aubris athletic teams. He was involved with many youth sports programs in Cambridge, coaching football, baseball, softball and basketball. He enjoyed the association with the kids during games and practices. Brad enjoyed the outdoors. He enjoyed bow hunting and rifle hunting of deer and turkey. Brad was looking forward to this season as his daughter Aubri had just passed her bow safety course and was anxious to go deer hunting for the first time. Brad was a huge "Big Red" fan, rooting for the Huskers.

Brad was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.

He is survived by his children: Aubri and Paxton at home; parents: Mike and Judy Ross of Bartley; brother: Brent of Thaxton,MS; uncle, aunts, nieces and nephews. Special family friends: Jared and Julie Sayer, Patricia Sayer, Tammy Quinn and Renee Holtze.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, 10:30 AM at the United Church of Christ First Congregational Church with Bill Weaver officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, 2013 from 9:00 AM till 9:00 PM at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge. The casket will not be open at the church for public viewing. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery at Cambridge. Friends may leave on-line condolences at lockenour.com. A memorial has been established as an educational fund for Paxton and Aubri or may be made to any of the Cambridge youth sports teams.
