Billy Lynn Brooks

Billy "Bill" L. Brooks, age 63, of Cambridge died at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on April 26, 2014. He was born in McCook, Nebraska on January 5, 1950 to Orville and Beulah (Urling) Brooks. Bills family moved to Colorado when he was young and later returned to Indianola, Nebraska.

Bill enjoyed trap shooting and hunting, boating and camping. He enjoyed his grandchildren taken them to the lake to fish on his pontoon boat, attending their school events whether it was sports or music. Bill was employed by Parker Hannifin for over 34 years as an inspector.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; son: Parker James (P.J.) brother: Ron; 3 sisters: Pam in infancy; Vicki Brooks; Joan Morris; sister-in-law: Betty Brooks; nephew Cody Brooks.

He is survived by his daughter: Beck and fianc Jeremy Stuckey; 2 grandchildren: Sean and Emily Anderson at home; brother: Doug Brooks of Thornton, CO; sister: Renee Botts of Lexington, NE; sister-in-law: Susan Brooks of Lincoln, NE.

Funeral services will be held at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at10:30 A.M. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery of Cambridge. Visitation will be held on Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 PM till 7:00 PM and Wednesday from 9:00 till 7:00 PM. Memorials may be left in Bills name at the Herrmann-Jones Mortuary.
