Betty Marie Brush

Betty Marie Brush, 71, of McCook, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. She was born to Merlin and Betty (Masters) Krieger on June 16, 1949 in McCook, Nebraska. Betty attended school in McCook and graduated from McCook High School in 1967. She was united in marriage to Roger Brush on August 20, 1967. The couple made McCook their home for their 53 years of marriage. Betty worked at McCook Public Schools in the cafeteria for eighteen years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, and traveling. Betty loved happy hours spent with family and friends. She and Roger cherished the winters that they spent together in Mission, Texas. Betty was preceded in death by her mother and father, Betty and Merlin Krieger. Survivors include her husband, Roger Brush of McCook; son, Tracy (Robin) Brush of Omaha; daughter, Marcie (Bill) Luhman of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Ethan Brush, Evan Brush, and Brianna Luhman; sisters, Linda (Jim) Shaw of Yerington, Nevada and Debbie (Jim) Jenkins of McCook. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Bartley Cemetery with Pastor Clark Bates officiating. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon, December 27, 2020 from 1:00-5:00 P.M. at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. In lieu of flowers, the Nebraska Medicine Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Excellence Fund will receive memorials in Bettys name.
