Arden Virgil Norman, 82, passed away March 23, 2015 at Highland Park in McCook, Nebraska. Arden was born May 3, 1932, to Virgil W. and Lela Myrth (Williams) Norman in rural Rawlins County, Kansas. He grew up in Atwood, Kansas, graduating from Atwood High School. On December 7, 1951, he married Nancy Lee White in Atwood, Kansas, and to this union three children were born. Arden and Nancy lived in Atwood until 1961 before moving to McCook, Nebraska. Arden worked for McCook Public Power District for 24 years. Arden is preceded in death by his parents; wife Nancy; father-in-law and mother-in-law, E. Earl and Laura White, brother Gayle Norman, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Loren and Earlene Walkup. Arden is survived by his two sons, Chuck and wife Debra of Kearney, Nebraska and Bill and wife Leah of Oxford, Nebraska; one daughter Tami and husband Paul Teel of McCook, Nebraska; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a host of friends. Arden loved attending all his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildrens sporting events and was their biggest fan. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and an active member of the McCook Jaycees. He enjoyed hunting and during the winters, he and Nancy would spend time in Arizona. You could always count on a ballgame of some sort being on his T.V.
