Anna Mae “Ann” (Strang) Hart, age 94, of McCook, Nebraska went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 2, 2024. She passed away from natural causes at her home.
Ann was born in Emmons County, North Dakota on August 16, 1930 to John Joseph and Mabel A. (Winterberg) Carroll. She graduated from high school in Dickinson, North Dakota in 1948.
Ann married David M. Strang on July 30, 1949 in Sherwood, Oregon. Dave and Ann moved to McCook in 1971. Ann was employed at Community Hospital in McCook as a receptionist and admissions clerk. Mr. Strang passed away in February of 1982. Eleven years later, Ann married Roy G. Hart on September 4, 1993.
Ann was preceded in death by husbands, David Strang and Roy Hart; her parents; one brother, Norman J. Carroll of Burley, Idaho; and one son, Jay L. Strang of Forsyth, Montana.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathy Strang of San Antonio, Texas; one son, David M. Strang of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; four grandchildren: Jennifer (Christopher) Mills, Jeremy (Shala) Strang, DJ (Jessica) Strang, and Sandra (Quentin) Kilwien; and six great-grandchildren; she is also survived by three daughters and one son by marriage to Roy G. Hart: Mary (Sam) Frandsen, Colleen (Aaron) Vandergrift, Jannelle (Ron) Pfeifer, and Tom (Sheila) Hart; she also gained eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. Ann’s family will greet friends from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at the First Assembly of God Church in McCook with Pastor Barry Johnson officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery of McCook will follow services.
