Angie Garcia, age 78, Passed away August 21, 2025, at McCook Community Hospital in McCook, Nebraska.
Angie was born on January 24, 1947, at Doctor White's Maternity Hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born to Guadalupe and Josephine Ramos.
In 1966 she married the late Jorge C. Garcia, and to this union three children were born Tammy, George, and Rachel.
After working many years as a caregiver, Angie retired from Hillcrest Nursing Home. Shortly after she went to work at the McCook Townhouse for numerous years as head cook.
Angie loved caregiving, she did home care for Carolyn Simington and later became a stay-at-home babysitter for her great- grandchildren, which were her pride and joy.
Angie was Preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers; and many other friends and family.
Left to celebrate her life or her children, Tammy Garcia of Phoenix, Arizona; George (Tamara) Garcia of Columbia, Missouri, and Rachel (Alex) Blancas, of McCook. Grandchildren: Jessica, Sonya, Daniell (Christian), Angelica, Jaime (Shelby), Cody (Kristin), Kyle (Alex), Khila (Austin), Dakota (Kimmy) and Nakia (Kaleb); great-grandchildren: Martika (Kayden), Emaza, Isabella, Ángel, Adriana, Marissa, Mataley, Adalynn, Corbyn, Oliver, Alia, Petra, Sofia, Aubrey, Jayden, Cayson, Jacob, Ellie, Kaleb, Ruby, Benny, Rylan and Beckett; and great-great-grandchild, Lila Ray.

Visitation will be held on Friday afternoon, August 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. Per Angie’s request, a private graveside services will take place and a celebration of life is being planned for extended family members and friends.
