Alton Clyde Anderson

Alton Clyde Anderson, age 85, of Trenton, Nebraska passed away at the El Dorado Manor on Friday, June 19, 2020. He was born in Trenton on February 3, 1935 to Thomas Henry and Lena Dorothy (Cole) Anderson. Clyde grew up and attended school in Trenton. Clyde joined the United States Army on September 17, 1957 serving until he was Honorably Discharged on September 16, 1963. On January 30, 1961 he was married to Marilyn Harrison in Atwood, Kansas and to this union nine children were born: Deanna, Debbie, Dottie, Micky, Terri, Bobbi, Richard, Thomas and Bradley. He enjoyed the outdoors, sharing his love of hunting, trapping, fishing, mushroom hunting and hunting wild asparagus. Clyde made his own fishing lures and he loved to plant a huge garden and gave most of it away to neighbors and friends. He loved to be around his kids, and the kids of Trenton; taking them to get ice cream at the Dairy Crme. Clyde was employed by Hitchcock County as a heavy equipment operator and after retirement he would build terraces for area farmers. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Lena; two daughters: Deanna Anderson and Debbie Tino; four sisters: Anna Louise; Bertha Jones; Marie King; Lola Heble; five brothers: Elvin Lee, James Calvin, Joseph Henry, Allen and Charles Anderson. Clyde is survived by four daughters: Dottie (Raymond) Morrison of Sherman, Texas; Micky (James) Jenkins of Exeter, Missouri; Terri (David) Desrochers of Cassville, Missouri; Bobbie Cooper of McCook; three sons: Richard (Kimberly) Kramer of Atwood, Kansas; Thomas (Laura) Anderson of Trenton; Bradley Anderson of Norton, Kansas; 28 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Evelyn Tompkins of Trenton and Ellen Barlow of Culbertson; brother, Robert Anderson of Brighton, Colorado as well as many nieces and nephews. In honoring Clydes wishes to be cremated a graveside inurnment will be held at the Cornell Cemetery of Trenton on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at 10:30 AM. Military Honors will be performed by the Army Honors Detail. Friends may leave on-line condolences at herrmannfh.com. Memorials may be left in Clydes name at the Herrmann Jones Funeral Chapel.
